Microsoft Redesigned the M365 Copilot Adoption Hub
Microsoft has rebuilt the M365 Copilot Adoption Hub around one specific problem: most people with a Copilot licence do not know where to start. The new design organises everything by role instead of dumping generic guidance onto a landing page.
The three roles are AI Business User, AI Champion, and AI Leader. Each one gets prompts that can be used immediately, examples matched to real work, and guidance written for that context rather than for everyone at once.
What changed
The old hub still exists in places. Community content, events, IT pro guidance, and Microsoft Learn certification paths are all still present. The difference is a role-based layer on top. Users choose the role that fits them and the content is filtered accordingly.
That matters because Copilot adoption stalls when the first interaction is too broad. A user opens a hub, sees a list of features, and closes the tab. A user who sees prompts for their specific job role is more likely to try one, get a useful result, and come back.
The hub is part of adoption.microsoft.com/copilot. Microsoft notes the redesign came from user feedback and says the focus is helping people get started and keep going.
What the hub includes
For each role, the hub provides:
- Prompts ready to use in daily work
- Task-based examples of how Copilot fits into real workflows
- Guidance tailored to responsibilities and decision context
Beyond the role-specific content, the hub still links to broader enablement material. User enablement and IT professional guidance remain available, as do learning paths through Microsoft Learn and the AI Skills Navigator.
Why it matters
Most Copilot adoption programs fail at the first step: getting someone to use the tool deliberately once. A hub that hands a business user a prompt they can paste into Copilot and see value from is more effective than a page explaining what Copilot can do in general.
The role-based split is also useful for IT and change-management teams. AI Champions can be given role-specific enablement content to run internal sessions. AI Leaders can be directed toward governance and adoption tracking material instead of introductory prompts.
If your organisation has Copilot licences but low usage, the Adoption Hub is a practical starting point. It is one of the better responses to the blank-page problem most users face when they open Copilot for the first time.
